Failure to Launch

Who we Help

"Failure to launch"

“Failure to launch” is not a clinical diagnosis—it’s a common term used to describe young adults who are struggling to take the next steps toward independence. This often looks like difficulty moving out of the family home, maintaining employment, pursuing education or career goals, or handling daily responsibilities on their own.

Many continue to rely heavily on their parents, and often have low self-esteem, confidence, and motivation as a result. Parents find themselves at a loss, unsure how to break the cycle.
