Therapeutic Coaching
How we Help
What is Therapeutic Coaching?
At Golden Coaching, we take a whole-person, trauma-informed approach to supporting individuals facing long-term mental health challenges. Our coaching is grounded in powerful, evidence-based frameworks—including Attachment, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Family Systems theories—to help clients reconnect with their inner resources, understand their nervous systems, and build the sustainable emotional resilience required to make necessary changes.
We believe healing is not about “fixing” what’s broken—it’s about learning to relate differently to your pain, honoring your protective parts, and creating space for a more connected, values-driven life. Our coaching meets you where you are: whether you’re feeling stuck in survival mode, or simply ready for something more integrative and action-oriented. You don’t have to navigate your challenges alone.
How is Therapeutic Coaching
Different than Therapy?
- Coaching emphasizes tangible movement with goal-oriented action planning & accountability, & reinforces self-empowerment.
- Our coaching is grounded in clinical theory to provide emotional attunement, while promoting Self-leadership & accountability.
- Frequency of Services: Clients meet with coaches 2-5x/week, receiving more support & accelerating goal attainment.
- Experiential Coaching: While Sessions are often held in the office, we promote the use of out of office sessions, where coaching can happen in real-life scenarios.
- Our Therapeutic model emphasizes the family system as integral to progress. Instead of just updating involved family members, we coach family members too!

What is Experiential Coaching?
Experiential Coaching is a hands-on approach that focuses on learning through direct, real-world experiences rather than just theory or conversation. It encourages active participation and reflection, helping individuals gain deeper insights and build practical, applicable skills.
Experiential Coaching Sessions involve the coach physically accompanying a client through tasks and experiences which often include important life skills required for clients to overcome emotional and executive functioning barriers. Co-regulation is a key component in these experiences, in which the client receives hands-on support through adverse scenarios they may otherwise avoid.
